Even if you help them they end up in the same god damn situation, I've had a friend like that even if you tell them the truth to their faces and they understand it but are not able to put it into practice since is like telling a person "do not eat that thing over there is already rotten" They know that is dangerous and taste bad but do it anyways because they think it'll have the same nostalgic taste.

You can love your friends a lot, but remember that sometimes they will listen to you but not do anything you tell them until they get hurt themselves
