Always a bittersweet moment to have to drop something, I really liked this one too since it feels like it was made for me and Alpha's style. Anyway, got a few more to go so no goodbyes yet. I guess we'll see if the series outlives us.

Sometimes the cruelest thing we can do to a person is enable them to avoid their pain and sometimes the kindest thing we can do for them is help them embrace that pain. It's not an easy process, but a person can't move forward if all they do is run from their problems.

Man I am so lost as to what is happening.

Is she dead?

Or is it some Silent Hill esque thing of her emotions, feeling and fears manifesting on the real world?
The different aspects of her personality that developed after she moved were split off from her and are being processed to be erased for good because she wished to be as she was before she moved away

she's not dead.

When Karin moved away from Yuu and into middle school, she lost her sense of self as she grew up, for reasons that can happen to anyone.

But I suspect Yuu was her grounding force, and she yearned for the simpler times of childhood that she had, alongside him, and wished for things to go back to that point when she could just be a carefree child without worries or responsibilities, alongside Yuu.

And the crux of the issue is she wanted that return to simplicity and to forget all her worries and anxieties and all the "voices that contradict one another" that are born from that - and the Charm granted her wish after taking her literally.

Hence her splitting.
And so yuu met all of Karin's various "sides", and was supposed to pick the one version of Karin that she would fully manifest as, so she could go back to being untroubled and could just be with Yuu again and be happy.

But Yuu, loves all of Karin, and couldn't pick "just one part of her". Because that's who he loves. And so his wish of seeing her again conflicted with her wish of wanting things simplified at Yuu's hand, and the manga up to this point is the result.

But when that didn't work out, and Yuu accepted all of Karin, all her memories came back, she remembered all the pain she'd been in, and the total Karin scope collapsed, resetting back to what would "grant" her wish most literally - reverting her to her child self from a decade before.

And with that, all the aspects of Karin that were split off and manifested are consigned to be destroyed and erased, so that Karin's wish can come true. And Yuu now has to keep that from happening, so that he doesn't lose the Karin he loves, which is the whole of the sum of all the Karins we've met.

Or at least that's my take on it.

Thanks for the translation and bringing this series to my attention. Its a fun read. And at least it having an official translation is a great thing.

What a whiplash
1) Long chapter, yeah
2) Translation getting dropped, oh no, well thanks for the ride
3) Is a for a good reason, I want to believe the english simulpub means it had enough success
4) I hope we are not going for the endgame, for someone who mutually confessed love, the romance felt very restrained.
5) I hope the story goes for making him understand that loving all her flaws and telling her to not change of is not a healthy mindset, is denying change and improvement especially at this age.

It's possible I may have sped up the rate they would appear… and given you a tighter deadline than you would have had otherwise.
This line on page 20 almost sounds like it could be the author alluding to some external force (maybe the publisher, or something else) forcing them to speed up the pace of story.

I did wonder if that was a little nod to what seems like a clear "wrap it up this is ending" from the editor.
It just feels so direct, as to be almost meta, to me.

Understandable that you’re dropping it but what a pain that it’s only available on manga up. Absolutely scam app
