More fruitful can be the comparison with Dostoevsky’s “Demons” because that's the only novel of Dostoevsky where the central character is implied to have a manga-like harem — it consists of his mother's maid protégé, and a mentally unstable menhera, and an oujo-sama wealthy young lady, and he also NTR'd another man's wife (making her pregnant).

Dostoevsky's original intention was to make that young man not just a netori MC, but also a literal rapist of a very young loli (and then a reason and a witness of her suicide), but the author reluctantly abandoned that idea under his editor's pressure.
