Hello, thanks for reading!

We're ending volume 15 on a cliffhanger, please look forward to volume 16!

Speaking of endings, the manga ended on chapter 204, which means we have good 60 chapters ahead of us. I will try to release chapters quicker now, so you're not waiting another 60 weeks for the ending.

For those interested in the winner and my thoughts on the ending, please see the spoiler section.

Okay, so Runako has won. It wasn't a dream nor are there multiple endings. After six years of dating, Eiyuu and Runako got married and everyone lived happy ever after.

This might surprise you, I sure was, because if you look at the way the manga has been developing during this translation, it really seemed like Akari was the clear winner. What could have possibly happened for Runako to win when she's quoted saying that her chances if a romcom doesn't happen are basically zero? Well, you'll have to wait and find out. I haven't read all of the remaining 60 chapters, I was reading here and there when the arcs looked interesting, including the ending arc.

From my biased view of an Akari fan, I really couldn't see how she lost. I plan on doing a more robust analysis when this ends. I truly hope I just missed the really important Runako chapters because ending it like that without any proper (or should I say better) build up than this Akari arc leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The next chapter shows how good a match Akari is for the winner, I think I'll be pulling my hair out during the translation wondering what went wrong.

Wait, 60 more chapters?!? Are they actually gonna show us some dating? I hope that's rhe case, instead of the usual "misunderstanding+drama+miscommunication" to stretch things.

P.s. I didn't read the spoiler of the original post, despite it being uncovered automatically for the reply, so I'm mostly voicing my surprise, NOT asking for spoilers

GGs. As much as I like the
little sister trope
, I think the author really dropped the ball with that ending.

Good bye guys, time I finally drop this!

So, the best girl has won. Awesome. It's extremely rare that the osananijimi imouto won out at the end. At least, it kinda breaks the mold for the harem manga.

Of course he goes for the girl that feels like she is his little sister, lmao. Arigatou author-san :haa:
I wanted Akari or Shio to win tbh. They had the most chemistry with MC-kun

What in the actual FUCK, Runako is the blandest piece of cardboard ever, almost zero personality whatsoever. Honest to God the fact that he doesn't end up with either Akari (best girl) or Shio pisses me off so fucking much.

Regarding the winner talked about here, it does just seem weird yeah. Of course it's unfortunate when your favorite character doesn't win in series like these, but I can typically accept it cause not everyone can win. But when it's a specific girl simply to be unexpected and a "twist" without any worthwhile lead-up, yeah you lose me. Quintessential Quintuplets had a similar ending with Yotsuba, with there never being a strong interest in either side really shown, and multiple character arcs being cut short to deliver that result merely for the sake of being unexpected. Just an unfortunate choice by the author, and this series never had strong enough character writing to really endear me beyond this.
