Actually, I do remember the Tsukumogami telling Yuu, Himeka and Galka this. On the day they learnt of each other (I believe chapter 2), the tsukumogami tells the group of Yuu’s wish to see Karin again, and told him whichever Karin he did not choose would disappear ”As that is her wish”. I might be wrong, but I believe this is what the charm meant.

Maybe, every Karin is a part of the original, that she doesn't want anymore. Her wish would be, that these indesirable aspects of her disappear. Yuu's Tsukumogami then catches them and uses them, to fulfill Yuu's wish.
The original goal was, to have Yuu take one, and having thus his wish granted, while the other aspects would simply pass by, using this situation as their farewell.
But Yuu being that much in love, led to the Tsukumogami to change his plan, and rehabilitate the Karins.

PS: Aika obviously knows much more than she lets on. Remember how antagonistic she was towards the other Karins since the start.

Having read extensively over the years, I can anticipate the conclusion of this series. I believe they will all unite to restore Karin, whom the MC adores because she possesses everything from all the split girls.

They have the same backstory. They each just interpreted it differently because of their different personalities. (At least the when it comes to the flashback kumaka had. We don't know much about their live directly before reuniting with the mc.)

Huh? Re-Read the manga from the start again Bro.. After the same backstory with the MC they have different backstory.. Galka accepted her "uniqeness" and literally have many friends.. Himeka just "doesn't care" and does not like to have friends.. Kumaka afraid to make friend.. And Aika want to prove she is better.. They have made different decision and it affected their lifes significantly.. Their room is also different.. Very different..
