According to an interview, the inspiration for Maki was a model called Ikeda Miyuu. But I guess it could still be an additional influence.wonder if maki's character design was inspired by shiraishi mai (ex-nogizaka46 member) who had a skit in a show to walk around wearing sunglasses in public to see if anyone recognized her or not. she's also been lowkey about her highschool days as well
Hmm, you may be in for a rough time if you're expecting anything serious to develop in that department. She didn't even do it in her prior manga, Manga no Tsukurikata, which had the main pair literally go out from the beginning. In an interview for that series, she stated she does not want to draw full-blown romance in Comic Ryuu because her parents also read it, so it's embarrassing (no comment). Both MnT and OshiBudo are Ryuu titles. Thanks for the chapter.
It's really dragging on though with the idol group becoming the main focus instead of love story between MC and Maina. I guess that's one way for the author to drag it on as much as possible? Gives me Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru vibes...
I've recommended the series to friends (both the anime and the manga), but always with a '' just don't go in expecting an all out romance, this really isn't that'' caveat. You kinda have to be in that mindset right away or you'll just end up frustrated with what little actual time Eripiyo and Maina spend interacting with each other.Hmm, you may be in for a rough time if you're expecting anything serious to develop in that department. I personally like EriMaina too much to be put off by it (enough to solo scanlate it, even), but this is definitely a title for people who are okay with the frustrating kind of "yuri".
Hmm, thanks for letting me know, now I can just put this on hold until it finishes. I was more into the romance aspect than the "idol life" aspect...Hmm, you may be in for a rough time if you're expecting anything serious to develop in that department.
