She didn't say that. She said it was a bad move because aqua self destructing in achieving his revenge would have been easier if ruby hated him and would have made it easier for her to forget about him and move on afterwards. Also whether his revenge plan succeeds or not hinges on ruby's interpretation of ai: if she forgives the murderer aqua won't get his revenge (no idea how that works but that's what's been explained). So if ruby loves aqua more than she hates the murderer and tries to save him he will fail at his master revenge

Miyako is indeed the best mother, she really needs the spotlight. She took two twins in her home even when her own husband abandoned her. She took care of the children like they were her own.
