Wow, so they actually still have footage and stuff to use! Cool! :D

Though, this makes the previous chapter all the more random feeling. What were we supposed to get out of an apparently random character's death? That the guy is still a loose cannon who will cause problems down the line?

So exciting! Waku waku! :D

This manga gives me goosebumps the moment I see a new bally chapter. ;w;
About the previous chapter, doesn't it tell us a lot actually ?

The way I see it this series has always done it's best to show that everyone is human. That includes the bad peoples. This chapter is probably a set-up for when we'll get to Hikaru Kamiki' story.
By that I mean that's it's very likely that Kamiki suffer from trauma, after all he talks about how killing a talented actress allow him to "feel the weight of his own life". That's an awfully specific target don't you think ?
As for what the trauma might be, I'd say it's very likely that he was sexually abused by actresses. As a reminder Akane established that Kamiki was 11 when he procreated Taiki Himekawa with Airi Himekawa. If I had to bet this wasn't consensual, it was definitely Airi taking advantage of him.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this manga is full of symbolism. Take the star-eyes for instances, they have routinely be used to demonstrate that someone has "star power" which is exactly what Yura Katayose which was murdered in last chapter possessed. But that's not all there is about them, they swap from black to white and since we're talking about colors it's also been established that Kamiki uses white roses a lot (Akane got some from him and so did Ai when she got stabbed). White roses are a symbol of purity and youthfulness, in fact the color white alone symbolize that. Defiling this purity by murdering those talented young actresses is basically Kamiki taking his "revenge" on the show-biz' world.
If anything I hope I'm just reading too much into this but to be honest I don't think that's just a coincidence that Aqua's two love interest have acting as their main career choices and have already been associated with the color white (Kana's white glow stick and Akane's white roses). In short, I definitely hope I'm wrong but let's just say I'm preparing myself to the possibility of seeing one or both of them to die in the near-ish future.
One last point is that we already know of at least two confirmed murder. Ai and Yura, however it's not unlikely that Kamiki is actually the one behind Seijurou Uehara and Airi Himekawa double "suicide" and if that's indeed the case then it just go to prove how vicious, cunning and careful the man is. The type of men to tie all loose ends, not unlike Aqua. In fact if I had to compare him to anyone it would without a doubt be Aqua, much like his father he is walking the path of revenge and harboring "dark stars" in his eyes. In fact Aqua has grown increasingly maniac doing more and more reprehensible stuff as the story goes on so I'm expecting this parallel to be yet deepened, especially with him assuming the mantle of Ai's killer in the movie.

There still a lot to mention like Ame no Murakumo no Mikoto (the deity who reside in Aqua's and Ruby's hometown) being a malevolent kami symbolized by a star and etc. but I guess I'll stop there given how much I've already written

Thank you, that clears up a lot for me. I have the weakest deductive ability so I tend to miss a lot of these nuances - including most of the ones you mentioned here. It was fascinating to read, and honestly, I'd love to read your analyses like this again. :3

I'm always happy to chime in and be of help when and if I can.

There are a lot of other thing that deserve analyses and I'd be glad to share my thought on them but to be honest it would be less of a "breakdown" and more of an "educated guess" about what is going to happen next. To put it simply it could be quite spoiler-y if it end up being right and distracting if it end up being wrong so I won't share it there as I know many people would rather enjoy the story as it unfold. However I'd be more than happy to share those thoughts to whoever want to hear them.
