No Aka, this isn't profound; you wrote a shit ending that took a big old dump on the entirety of the manga and ruined the series in the same way the HIMYM ending salted the show. Will not watch the anime. I can't believe there's a few deranged people defending the ending and claiming people disliked it just because "its tragic". The ending wasn't tragic, it was fucking retarded in a way that completely invalidated everything the rest of the story is about. I haven't seen an ending that shat this hard over the entire preceding narrative since the final 1.5 chapters of Ao no Flag.

I still can't believe people are still thinking the ending wasn't dogshit, it wasn't profound. It was just ass. Aqua's death wasn't even important, not much would've changed if he lived on, instead a LOT more mess was created because he chose to die. The more the time passes the more Aqua's death comes off as nothing more than just shock value.


Also, It's not the fact that I hate Aqua's death, it's the fact that how badly it was written and handled, the 3rd act of this manga was very poorly written, even Hikaru Kamiki didn't seem much of a villain to me. I could probably note out more inconsistency than actual moments that could be called proper, consistent and reasonable storytelling.

As far as I remember, it was a prologue from the bonus chapter. So this is still 166.5 chapter.

The tragic ending isn't the problem, stop being disingenuous. People dislike it because it was poorly written and involved Aqua juggling idiot balls to achieve.

This is still a problem due to huge conceptual problems and plot holes that are created by it. But people who say that the finale is widely criticized only because it is dark, are simply trying to plug the negative feedback with a cheap scarecrow.

But it's not like anyone's forcing you to read.

In this way, you can deny any criticism. Something feels like shit? Hah, you are not forced to read/watch.

The whole “bonus” chapter 166.5 is essentially a huge Damage Control and the Aka's attempts to gaslighting readers that the final was supposedly more optimistic than we thought. Although he tried to convince us that this was just a bonus for his beloved fans, Lmao.

In general, I'm just tired of this shit already. I was a huge superfan of Kaguya and instantly began to read this manga after anime, but after the finals I just want to forget it as soon as possible as a nightmare. Aka simply did not value how much we invested in this and I just do not want to experience these negative emotions again.
