I'll never understand the sheer love and adoration everyone in this school has for Sawa, not even a worldwide celebrity would case that in real life.
The author also seems far more interested in the side couple than the main one.

You wouldn't be sick of it if the author put some actual focus on them instead of the side characters. The author clearly likes the side couple the best and mentions them as her favorite couple and has even drawn porn of them. If that doesn't show favoritism IDK what does.

She even has to clarify that it's about all 4 of them despite the fact it clearly was not and she forced them to be important.

I honestly don't like the way she wrote this story. If she wanted to write shitty lesbian realizes she's bi and slowly falls for a dude she could've made that story to begin with instead of shoehorning them into her existing story.

My thoughts to a T basically, although this is how I feel about most side ships since authors intentionally derail the story and keeps the MCs in limbo to facilitate it.

I can definitely feel the love the author has for Marika and Shouma. It's so much that she's even drawn two H-doujinshi about these two now (I didn't even expect that to get a part 2!). A not insignificant number of other readers have been getting crabby about all the focus on them and it's understandable because they have been eclipsing the main ship for so long, but as for me I'm enjoying this stormy side ship.

I do think the ice queen is starting to thaw, just a little bit. Looking at lingerie and suddenly wondering about his preferences, then actually realizing how little she knows about his likes and dislikes is something I would not have expected from the old her. He wouldn't even have come up in her thoughts. Hell, everyone including even Shouma himself has been expecting her to want to break up with him soon and she's defied all of them so far.

The last few pages we get some focus back on Sawa and Masaki and these two are inching closer a little as well. Maybe Sawa has to push a little harder because Masaki's oshi-fan mentality can be such an obstacle. The best case would be for him to overcome it on his own, and get to terms with how she's really just a normal girl that he can actually be in a romantic relationship with.

I think she doesn't even know that much about Sawa. Like in the festival prep chapter where Sawa was asked if she wanted to play act as other roles instead of a prince. Or when she realized when watching Oota's documentary how Sawa can also be cute instead of just cool. Heck, she didn't realize at first that Sawa likes Oota.
She has been mainly "grooming" her as a prince. I feel like she didn't look at her properly as a person.

That's why I have been liking Hachiouji x Marika arc because it shows her character growth as a person. It's really nice that she started thinking of him more, his preferences, etc.
