Man, people are taking this development really seriously. It's just a couple of dumb teenagers doing teenager stuff. Like she said, this is kind of a good deal for VP. Like, she, because of such a petty reason as feeling jealous of a friend that she essentially "groomed" (not in that sense) into existence, she manipulates the feelings of a person that clearly likes her and that she does not reciprocate. The author is releasing a "non-canon" "unofficial" 18+ doujin depicting the events between pages 19 and 20 of this chapter at Comiket. I will be scanlating this once it becomes available and will edit this post with the link (haven't decided whether to post it as chapter 20.5 which would require changing the maturity filter on this entire series or as a separate entry on MangaDex).

Update: she plans to release it on DLsite and monetize it so I probably won't be posting it to mangadex, I'll try to get a translation on DLsite with their affiliate translator program once it's available.

What made the doujin non-canon? It expanded on the stuff that happened between pg 19 and 20 (i.e. There's no doubt they had sex). And it's written by the author herself. So, I thought it was weird to say this was non canon.

Also, that was interesting to know that DL Site has translation volunteer program. How does that work? Does the author have need to look at and approve the submitted translation?
