Next chapter is going to be... fun?... as i see it, it can go 2 ways, either it goes to the silly way by having them both dealing with horniness. Or it goes the difficult way by having him tell her about the assault that he suffered (like, i really don`t like to use the "what if the genders where changed?" card, but it seems that by some of the comments it has to be used) and then the teacher and him had to go through that murky area, her by understanding that him is not a dessert but an actual human (not just "have a bite" since that is not his intention, but if she wants, try something earnestly with him). And him by processing what happened (proper responsibility placing, understanding of emotions, etc.).
Now the difficult way is absolutely going to put a lot of obstacles in their relationship, but it would be an interesting character study and a more interesting story in the long run... though romcon gotta romcon, so i don`t think dealing with an assault with a man as a victim is within the capacities of this story. i`m interested in the next chapter, but i do not have high hopes for it

Unlike American youth, I think the Japanese understand that the purpose of grooming is to psychologically condition the child to be exploited while they are still a child, and that it involves a systematic social and economic isolation of the child such that they can only rely on the groomer.

While I do somewhat agree, Americans do have a tendency of sticking our thumbs in international pies.
That said, it is often the unreasonable who speak the loudest. And their podium is Twitter. This might come off as racist, but the younger generation (probably... 25 years and younger) don't have the mental fortitude to simply ignore disregardable criticism. The Japanese take criticism seriously and while that can be a beneficial trait, it unfortunately makes for a bad combination with a Western audience who are most likely not even the intended audience.
That said, I'm not opposed to consuming controversial fiction as long as the writing itself is solid, so I'm fine.

I have to be honest these characters are written so well, that talking about cake can be somehow profound in a way.
A wholesome but very deep series about emotionally damaged people.

yes. a girl questioning her whole existence over a guy flashing her is ridiculous too. tho if the girl gets scared because the guy is taller, bigger than her and that they're alone in a room then it's perfectly understandable, which would be a completely different situation than what we got in this manga.

This is a major pet peeve of mine. Supposedly technology makes everything faster and easier, but we have an entire generation of artists now who can barely output 8 to 16 pages a month and it's just seen as normal. 30 years ago ~60 pages a month was standard.

Artists or writers get a flu or anxiety and they hiatus for a month or two now, and publishing companies are more than happy to encourage low output and slow plot development of popular titles to milk them.
