Parasocial relationships are scary. :worry:
But actual social relationships are more often even scarier... :fml:
This was one of the best ones so far and there wasn't even anything supernatural about it.
I like also how oshi subculture was the ostensible Reiwa-era hook for the story, but it ended up being Uber Eats as the modern through-line in the end.

LOL i miss that gachkoi manga shame it wasn't continued/idk if the official eng is available (tho the live action was ok for what it was)

man ppl either have generous allowance or paid well in japan, other than tickets being super cheap aside from meetups i can't imagine going to a concert more than like twice a year versus however often they normally have them...(tho im not fond of crowds so would rather buy cds/listen online and maybe buy merch/don't need to meet anyone IRL but i like more vocaloid songs than irl singers /shot)

10/10 twist. this might be my favorite chapter

expecting inhuman purity from idols -> the shock when that expectation is turned around on you

I'm sure yandere idols are a thing too but yeah considering 'oshi' culture i wonder how many idols/similar would get upset if a person went to a concert with a date and such (if anything i'd expect there to be more 'fake couples' of celebs and actors dating each other bc they usually work together, versus some like maybe buddhist monk themed band like Nii-kun from that konbini manga where ppl might be abstinent/asexual anyways)

I am surprised she did seem to have a bf, not saying it's right but it does seem more likely if a JP fan dates an idol/oshi compared to here in the west lol (despite the rockstar groupie stuff back in the 80s-90s) tho i expected the idol to hurt her, not her friend lol you'd think she'd mention her bf before

Oh, that's good. Oshi culture and the fans' inappropriate investment in their oshi's private lives paralleled with obsessive, violent attraction, combined with the small detail of how current ways of communication can really erode our own privacy and accidentally expose us to danger.
