Yeah, I’ve seen tons of reincarnation stories that just gloss over the actual reincarnation point, but these parts are just as important as the acting portions.

I just realized - in the last few pages, Maki is remembering her prior life as Taro, which meant he actually had a daughter her age before reincarnating.

It would be interesting if they met up - you almost never see a reincarnator’s first and second lives intersect.

Probably because he was still a little confused at the time and did an act of “Self preservation” instead of accepting his death. Basically felt bad about manipulating some random person(who he assumed to be his mother)

I mean what would he even do after checking? Just randomly stalk her or something? A child going on a train alone(if the distance is a problem) is a bit unrealistic. Well, I guess he could’ve done a wrong number type of act if he really did care about his daughter. Yeah, seems like he doesn’t give a sht.
