Since the sword didn't cut through and went into the centaur's head, instead it just broke off upon contact ... to me, it looked like he bonked the centaur really hard with the sword instead of slashing.

I feel like this is a weird scenario thought with little Maou girl because it seems like it should be taken as "magic king" but everyone in in the kingdom takes it as "demon king"

More likely only one hero since they have search for past 8 years so they should have found at least one by now if multiple. Also are there any other huiman kingdom/nation ? since they are sure the hero is born in theirs and did not taken into account being born in other countries.The king did not mention anything about it as it should be the first thing he should be thinking when they could not find the hero.

I have a guess, the father dismissed since the guild can't afford his service anymore or someone pull the strings so he can took a rest for his remaining years, but the guild officer missunderstood the order from the higher-ups.
