Oil painting take! I don't think you need to buy specialty brush cleaner. I use turpentine and orange soap, which is cheaper. 1) Squeeze out excess paint with a paper towel. 2) Work the bristles against the inside of your turps jar, until you no longer see wisps of pigment coming out. Make sure to flip the brush and work both sides. When clear, squeeze out with paper towel. 3) Squeeze a dime sized drop of soap into your palm. Work the bristles against your palm until you no longer see any pigment coming out, then rinse the brush under lukewarm water (Too hot or too cold can damage the ferrule and glue causing bristles to start falling out). Squeeze out the water between your thumbnail and pointer finger until you see no soap bubbles or pigment. If there's still pigment, repeat step 3. 4) Once clear squeeze out any damp with a paper towel, then gently form the bristles back into shape. Air-Dry your brushes horizontally.
