it is seinen i think... After every chapter ends, you tend to wonder who is gonna fuck who(not only literal way, sometimes psyhcological way.) and laugh at the sheer dumpster fire of the things.

Ooooh... interesting... can you tell me more about the synopsis ?

I was about to copy paste mangadex synopsis but i see it does not help:
"In a town with nothing, in the middle of a daily life with seemingly no signs of change, high schooler Reiji Kurose was "just" living. Family, dreams for the future, childhood friends were all binding him down to that city. He thought he would "just" keep on living like that. Until he met her. Is there hope in living? Is there light waiting ahead?"

Best thing I can do for you, show you some random comments :
https://forums.mangadex.org/threads/shounen-no-abyss.514716/page-45#post-25520841 -this is mine, and those some are of others(censored by this Big-Brother):
"someone pick me up I'm scared" "Teacher pushing 30 trynna -------" "Nobody in this manga deserves a happy ending ffs. I fucking knew there would be a plot twist on ming as soon as I see ----*----. Shit is not going to end well, but I am fucking down for it."

Yes, sounds a bit too edgy for my tastes : looked at 2 random chapters to get an idea and... I don't feel it, honestly.

That's fine, there has to be some slight differences in our tastes, it would be weird all our read-list to be exactly the same... :)
.
At least it has an end and have all the chapters translated. Even that is a win for me, I am trying to read something from philia scans, 15 chapters are in, another 15 is pay walled, and here there is not even alternate translator..
.
Edgy? yes. I don't know but, i liked it, twists were good, as my general comment: everybody wants to lay him, and everybody wants to commit suicide with him, his mother is really a good manipulative monster...
Somewhat it is like Aku no hana, even if you don't like the premise or animation, you cannot deny episode 7 ending and credits scene is a masterpiece. That scene alone is feels like an art..
.
You know what, I realised it now(really just now), they both are about late puberty spasms of mc with problematic psychology, unable to fitting anything and anywhere feeling of that coming of age and on that twisted kind of an coming of age stories. I can be certain, if you read Aku no Hana and liked it, definitely give it a chance, if you read or Aku no Hana, and did not liked it, you probably won't like it to.
.
I know my genre spectrum is a bit fucked, on one end tragedy and psychological burden filled dark twisted coming ages are there, on the other hand, I cry and shriek why my incest filled manga does not have any more incest(Ore ni trauma) :D
