It's time. Prepare for the next chapter, everyone. I honestly have no idea what people are gonna think with the new girl when she makes her debut. She's actually really chill.

I only really just noticed this but Seo is kinda of an unusual name. He might be a Zainichi Korean..

I know people are worried because there's already a good dynamic going between the 3 so a new girl just seems like it's introduce drama into a series that's more about the chill, laid-back, slow romance vibes rather than drama.

But I'm open to seeing the new girl, can't judge until she actually joins the story.

Whoa, that would be a neat detail. Would be a kinda interesting bit of representation; now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever seen Zainichi Koreans ever mentioned in manga and Koreans, in general, don't show up often unlike other nationalities.

What I'm intrigued by is why Kotoko's little brothers don't want to play with her. I would expect it's the usual thing, but the black haired one said "I don't want to get carried." I don't play multiplayer games but that would mean that she's really good, right?

This was such an awesome scene, absolutely brilliant:

Earlier she said, “He's just my oshi”; but what do we have here?

Probably because he only has two friends in the world and if he blows that up, he might end up completely alone again?
It'll most likely be over anyway after they graduate. They will naturally go their separate ways. If we assume a passive approach from him all the way through, perhaps he will manage to stay in contact with Amane thanks to Kiramon. They would end up together due to a process of elimination, as there's no such shared interest with Ijichi that would keep Seo and her meeting, despite different paths in education after high school.

I understand your line of thinking but while he's not actively trying to romance anyone, Seo isn't passive at all. In fact, this chapter demonstrates how he will go out of his way to do things to maintain and strengthen his relationships with others. He bought gifts and personally thanked everyone. He made plans to attend Ijichi's brother's birthday independently. That was its entire point. Even going further back to the first time the girls visited his house, Seo took the time to thank them for coming over and expressed how much he fun he had or when he stopped to thank Saya for her hospitality. The kind of care he takes with his relationships is his main character trait and why both girls are interested in him. He's really the most unlikely person to allow a friendship to just drift away.

Passive in romance is all I meant. The only things active in romance he does is denying it. He certainly is active in the friendship field. But, you know, if you all the time keep emphasizing friendship (friend zone) and denying any romantic interest, it will be a self-fulfilling prophesy.

There's no end of people who claim friends forever even after school graduation, but after a while even messaging through apps will gradually lessen. Otaku got good practice in interpersonal skills here, so no doubt he will make new friends in his next institution of education. They will be physically there, sharing same interests, so it will be easier to keep interacting with them than people further away. That's just life. It would be a different thing if there was a romantic interest, but out of his own mouth, we keep hearing there's none.

That's a perfectly valid question. Why isn't he interested?
he don't have that many friend so he doesn't know what friend do to each other and at what end does it become more, but instead of caring so much for those 2 he just care so much for everyone he know so everyone is equal and not one is more liked to him
