Oh wow, I wasn't expecting such a sad story in a set of extras, but it was really good. I'm glad we go to see Kei have that moment of catharsis.

Yep. This manga is a lot better with more pages per chapter. This one was the best "chapter" until now. And it was an extra and even didn't have comedy in it. But I'm also thinking that Kei is the key of this manga (bad pun intended)

I've worked in a convenience store before and I didn't smoke, can confirm that Mild Seven already long changed its name to Mevius but every customer keep calling it Mild Seven so I know his feeling all to well 😅.

What a truckload of Kei character development suddenly. Excellent. It's easy to imagine Asuka's feelings for Kei were affected positively by how she saw him go through the loss of his beloved mother.

On a more comedic note, I'd say Yuuki looking at Kei for ideas for moderate calorie dishes might be in vain. Kei himself is a guy of not too shabby a constitution, he has two younger siblings in their intense growth period, and even the leecher invading their dinner table is an athlete requiring more calories than some couch potato.

Looks like he's one of the pair of guys that both troubled Yuuki by hitting on him with Kei saving Yuuki from them,
later bothering Mayu in the library where she had to be carried to the nurse afterwards,
lastly turning over a new leaf and apologizing to Mayu for the trouble when they were to graduate..
They mentioned they'd go jobhunting and Mayu congratulated them on graduating,
at which point they burst out in tears and saying stuff like that she's the first person to actually congratulate them.


Edit: Kinda funny how you can see various returning background characters develop over time too. =p

Asshole Girlfriend at the park kept calling Asshole Boyfriend "Kenji," the coworker here does too. Amusement park wins. Also, they all probably would've recognized each other if it was one of the two guys from the same school? Kind of already acquainted.
