Without actually knowing anything, I feel like they'd be a lot weaker than rank 4 because in a meta sense that allows the player to grow with them.

We've just seen what an heir to a major household who is praised for his magic was capable of, so as long as they're above the corpse here at baseline, they'd be highly respected but still overall weak.

Other than that are Rank 1 or 2

Some of this is guess work as the story doesn't give that much detail about it, but iirc most were rank 2, I think two were 3, and I think one was rank 1. They get introduced in the first year of the academy, with one of them being an adult, and the others being the same age or a year older than Alicia. Getting to rank 2 at that age is unusual, and such talents can usually get to rank 3 by the time they turn twenty. Getting to rank 3 as quickly as Aria and Carla have is extremely unusual, on the level that it would be difficult to find historic records of it happening.

Read the web novel up to 235.1, which hasn't updated afaik in some time. Carla's arc isn't done there, so this has me wondering if I should try to find the light novel.

At least in comic form, should be less trouble to tell Carla and Clara apart.

It's updating again, seems like the translator changed website/group.

You can buy ln vol 1-6 officially, but personally i like the unofficial translation versions, though the person who did vol1-6(bakapervert) took them down when the ln got licensed.

Been following the series for both ln and wn translation since the start, they are like 99% similar in both minor and major plot points. You should have no problems reading between them.

she was given a wish shortly after this (2-3 arcs away) and could’ve used it to heal her body and extend her life but instead she asked for even more power, which shortens her life every time she uses it. Girl doesn’t wanna be saved. She wants a final fight with mc that’ll be epic and beautiful And destroy her family’s reputation so soundly that they are hated for the rest of time
