Also I am guessing that when she cut herself she realized her blood can imbue string like her hair did?

One funny thing about recognising people based on their appearance would be the dissonance between real life and game graphics. We, the readers, naturally see the characters in these manga style visuals, but presumably they actually look like real humans, which they are supposed to be. So, the crazy woman would only know the characters in the anime style design, but what Alicia is seeing are realistic looking humans. Quite different. But then again, I can't really remember a single manga where this would have been a topic. Plus it certainly doesn't change people's names or identities, which Alicia should recognise.
