OK....at this point this is just awfully bad writing, just to create a reason for the MC to fight without his Ace in the hole, but making it so it is not his fault....AND IT MAKES ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY NO SENSE!!!!.

While it's true that bastard able to pilot Leon's armor Arrogantz, Leon will duel it with him without any armor, just himself. The trick is there "something" (AKA Luxon) sent him gloves that can trash Arrogantz with just bare hands. Making the bastard receive humiliating lost in the worst possible way in the public given Leon's personality. Losing the bastard's sacred tree blessing in the process

But it doesn't end there because once the duel is done. Luxon started his favorite hobby by destroying the bastard's family's castle and sink the fleet guarding it with Einhorn, since it was nearby and was registered as "friend". Luxon did so much trashing enough that the 6 noble families almost became 5 XD

The part where Luxon sided with the bastard was actually part of the plan to mess around with the repubic. Both Leon and Luxon did the good job shaking them up to the core.

Enough that the King of Leon's homeland gets headache by this.
