I read the What If Route but still can't sympathize with Marie. Basically, that route is just a way for the author to cool down the reader's head.
The main route is the one that needs attention. She is a selfish brat, indirectly causing her brother's death and receiving karma in her previous life.
However, in this life she still doesn't learn anything. Even though she later realizes that Leon is her brother, she is still a selfish brat.
Wake up, online saints. Don't sympathize with this brat. Difficult circumstances, painful past are not reasons for you to act like a selfish brat. This brat is rotten to the core.

Marie needs to be downright executed. She's literally one of the worst characters here. I don't care even if she becomes a little bit better (by a tiny margin) down the road, she's so fucking self-absorbed and abhorrent, causing absolute mayhem everywhere due to her actions. And I don't give a fuck about her supposed sob story about how she had a hard life previously. She's the bitch who fucking lied and pinned the blame of all her boy love collection bullshit on to her brother, which is a serious reputation murder. In most Asian countries, being outed as someone "not normal" like that is a death sentence for MC's social life and even career chances. Furthermore, after her brother's death, that she basically caused due to forcing him to play the otome game before she comes back (so she's basically a murderer through blackmail), she lived a disgraceful life in a shady night worker establishment, and lived like a slut who hitched up with pathetic men, and

even lost custody of her daughter she had because she was an absolute mess who couldn't even take care of her own daughter.

She deserves no sympathy, but is better off just being executed.

let her at least tell her story before you take out freaking 4 page pdf about how she is worst evil of this world. I mean I dont say that what she isnt bad but damn it how can I not feel bad for a person how needed to sell her body to survive

Marie is a bitch, but nowhere near as evil as y'all are making her out to be. Like, the only really "bad" thing she's done in this life is steal the love interests from their fiancés but:

1. That's the premise of the entire damn game. Olivia would've done the same if she went unimpeded.
2. The fiancés, ESPECIALLY Angelica, were framed as the villains in the original game, and they did act like villains. Angelica even acknowledges that she used to not even see commoners as people before her interactions with Olivia. So she was the "bitch who should get executed" in the OG game, and whatever hatred you feel now against Marie would've been directed at Angelica .

As for Marie essentially "stealing" Olivia's destiny, if y'all had a vision that there was some buried treasure that will guarantee you a life of luxury for your entire life, and some other guy was going to stumble upon it in 10 days, but if you work hard you can get there before him and claim it for yourself, would you not do so?
