Are we reading the same series? What the hell are you talking about? Dude runs off to get some OP shit immediately and then spends the rest of his school life cheating the life savings out of almost every other student.

Edit: AND gets both the girls at the end.
Ones that canonical lesbo cucked him. If you see that as a win I guess you would date Mia Khalifa too.

And yeah, the author changed course in the later volumes and kinda pulled some retcons to make it look less like MC was being lesbo cucked after the backlash he got for his fetish, but his intentions were there.

Basically confirmed with how he dropped the ball in the later volumes and ended the story with a rushed meh ending.

So, did they finished the source or did the axed it within a very bad timeline of the story?! :meguuusad: :meguuusad: :meguuusad:

Okay, so after reading the few last chapters, it ended... But this is the one that was ended, and there's a new page for the sequel, but Mylene isn't the one translating it.

Isn't it crazy how you can tell a LN author's preference by reading their books? Like bro, we don't care about your fetish. Give us what we want.

After the first few chapters I was really hooked onto this manga. I wish the story would've ended without the sequel stuff. It's really fun and enjoyable for the majority of it. The satire and comedy are really nice, the manga is very fast-paced, a few things are skipped but overall this is good in terms of entertainment.

This review is mostly about the first arc (the kingdom arc) which covers the first 3 volumes of the LN.

Yeah I know this is a reincarnated power fantasy harem romance comedy mecha action. Which means some things are expected.

The master is the GOAT, even though he didn't do a lot on screen.
The part where the MC demolishes the five in battle might be very satisfying for some people. Same for when the six have to face consequences. There is a good amount of enjoyable moments in the story.
Luxion and that other AI are great characters, or rather devices.

You might find the six a little bit too annoying. Same for some villains, settings, conflicts and background characters.

The world gets worse the more you learn about it. You can blame it on the game developers or politics (maybe that is also part of the satire?). I suppose it's sorta fixed in the end (and even more at the end of the series).

Things I find faults in are that: some things have been explained very little or skipped entirely (there is more content, romance, explanation, flirting, interesting scenes, etc in the LN/WN) so you might think there are a lot of cuts or off-screen events; the English translations seem to have some slight inaccuracies and inconsistencies (they still worked hard though, and did a good job); most importantly some characters don't develop much. Like most of the background characters can be excused and they get what's coming for them (or maybe it's part of the comedy?), the five targets are still stupid and they haven't learnt a thing (I guess they become a little nicer but that's it. They barely use their intelligence throughout the story.), this also applies to Marie partially (I guess they try to redeem her in later volumes), Olivia (if you only read the manga) should have no idea that she is the saint (shouldn't somebody do something? I guess there is some time.), a lot things are vague story-wise with no clear consequences (Magic is explained later), is partner a ship that can be separated from Luxion's main body and still function? The MC has some flaws and some good characteristics which is good and clear in the story but he doesn't really learn much. This "wanting to be a Mob" thing just sucks the further you go (wanting to relax alone still makes sense). Also he is still a coward after the war, and even towards the end he is kinda forced to
marry both of them after getting tricked into a corner
but at least he showed some courage for that situation. But even after that it's just called an
engagement.
But still its honest and fun to look at.
Some stuff still might not make sense.

Also here are some spoilers for those who want it:
In this arc:
Harem ending with the protagonist and villainess.
Nothing really, unless you count the king promoting him to a count out of spite and also him getting married which means he has responsibilities he can't avoid.
After this arc:
The harem is expanded further. Despite already having two great partners.
There is a Yuri scene between the two you-can-guess-who which the MC also witnesses.
The MC has to interfere with world events again. The middle parts might get repetitive.
The MC gets even stronger.
He learns more about the mysterious history of this world and his heritage.
There aren't any actual sex scenes in the story but there is some implied after the end.
He basically takes over the world (or at least his own country and neighbours) towards the end.
Because of his responsibilities, he does not get to relax by himself. Instead, he becomes an overworked ruler who is very 'drained' because of his many 'energetic' partners. These partners include: Angie, Livia, Noelle (from the next arc) and also possibly the other girls he is on good terms with and Queen Mylene
There is also an alternate "Marie" route.

I think this series also has an anime adaptation.

Overall, it's great in terms of entertainment and not completely generic. Hopefully you won't be too dissatisfied with how some things just happened or are left unfinished. The manga is still enjoyable on its own.
