Finally its back, was thinking it was dead.

Anyway, my god do i dislike stupid evil. This guy is pure cringe. Burning down random buildings on a whim, even an evil ruler wouldnt needlessly destroy things. How has his family not slapped the shit out of him for being so retarded.

This arc continues to be so ridiculous that it's really hard to get emotionally invested in it. It doesn't help that Lord Pierre is so comically evil in every chapter. It's sad how poor the writing has been in this sequel, compared to the original series. In the original, Leon's weird personality was the only significant oddity to stomach (as long as you accepted the twisted game setting), but in this sequel there's so much logically and otherwise wrong.

We've dealt with stupid antagonists for years with this story and now whoever's in charge of the writing for the manga is showing they can be much worse with stupid and evil.

How can a state still stand, where nobles act like literal bandits all the time? Realistically the populace would either revolt or flee en masse in short time.

We're in a setting where everything is sky islands and the nobles have super powers.

There's no way to fight back and nowhere to run to.

Essentially, everything is North Korea.

Had to reread from the start of the volume. This has to be a rigged fight. The poor SoB is stuck inside Arrogance and is not allowed to use the sacred tree's powers. Leon could probably beat him in a fist fight with just those conditions, so it looks like he's going to get a world of pain.

Guessing the gloves were sent by Luxion. (Haven't read the next chapter yet)

"Special Pierre Arroganz"... Yeah, that fucker is especially arrogant, so I can't wait for him to be defeated and see his ass being handed to him.

What do you mean, I see no problems whatsoever with this perfectly rational writing:
"- Let's have a duel!
  • Sure
  • btw there's no duel, kill yourself or lose
  • Guess I'll lose then
  • Great, now a completely unrelated property of a different person is mine"

Also I'd assume invading territory of a high-ranking noble of the kingdom (and kidnapping his staff member) would constitute an act of war, but I guess the story has become far too retarded for such measly things. How far the mighty have fallen, it's a shadow of its former self, and definitely not because of the new artist.

And this, dear viewers, is why reading comprehension matters. If you dont have it you might end up like this guy, who read angle as angel and complains why there are suddenly religious ideas in a story about math.

For your information, it was set up from the very beginning that the holy tree is so unbelievably powerful that the republic could win a defensive war against literally the entire world, while they are in its sphere of influence. They can do whatever they want without fear of retribution, as long as they have a way to get back into their countries borders. And because every country knows they would lose if they attacked, the scum in the republic can get away with literal warcrimes whenever they want and the countries are forced to let it go.

It was also set up that the tree's blessing in the six great families is so great that they can easily force circumstances around their deals, contracts and bets to follow the ideas of the members for those families. The tree doesnt care that Einhorn was never the five idiots or Maries ship, it only cares that Pierre said he won it by defeating them, only that he did indeed defeat them in some way.

Edit: The circlejerk here is impressive. Clearly-not-having-read-the-story-properly-man and his likeminded hivemind all agree with other, and when they are told exactly why the things happening make sense they call the guy who calls them out dumb.

to be fair, that a**hole sending people to Leon's home to make more trouble was predictable. It's actually surprising he didn't do it earlier
