Thanks for the chapter!
Leon is really creaming them. Btw, LN gives more details so what Angie meant by Leon being a cruel man is because she knows he placed a huge bet on himself to win in order to encourage others to bet against him. After all, if you were going to bet on a match between 5 of the top students against 1 mob character you'd be tempted to bet more, especially with a high payout, right? So what a bunch of students did is not only bet more than they could afford, but either all their money or all their money plus money they borrowed on what they thought was a sure thing. So if he wins all 5 battles most of the students are going to be penniless or in severe debt. Also, Greg realizes Leon is referring to Angie and is right in that they were bullying her which further infuriates him.
Some more details on capture targets. Brad is a magic specialist (strength of arms is considered more important and noteworthy than magic,) who had a tendency in the game to rush forth into battle alone and get overwhelmed resulting in a game over. His 'drones' are four lances he can launch and control with magic to attack from multiple directions at once. Greg is a good all around fighter but his problem is relying too much on himself to overcome poor maintenance of his equipment and going with good enough equipment without upgrading it. So his equipment is patched up all over, mass produced with default specs rather than built and tuned specifically to him, and several models out of date. As Leon noted Chris is an exceptional swordsman, but has no magic or ranged attacks so wasn't able to defend against or land any attacks on the drones Luxon were controlling. That and once his sword broke had no means to fight. In game did well in melee battles, but got into trouble with opponents using ranged attacks blasting him apart before could get within sword range.
