If anyone's running to the LN after this, mind the vast drop in the quality of the translation in the most teo/three volumes. An ESL takes over and his 'proofreader' just makes it even harder to read.

I read a lot of the LN, I remember it dropped generally in quality after a while, but it's still a good bit from that point. But yeah, translation fluctuates, sadly that happens with a lot of novels and it's even worse in a novel compared to a manga, at least a manga talks to you in part with pictures while a novel is entirely dependent on a good translation or it's completely ruined. Only very few comedy novels where the mood/plot doesn't matter might be readable with a so-so translation.
