It's kinda cute how he gets into his delusion and the others think he's doing it for them. And he clearly says "I'm doing it for my own pride" too, so it's not like he's manipulating the heroines or anything 😂

This "events" in Shounen manga always bother me cause authors don't give a flying fuck about making it serious. They targeted a competitor, which is probably against the rules. He illegally modified the bike, which is CERTAINLY against the rules. Why is nobody disqualified?
The ringleader even admitted to it in a room full of people.
And how come that Leon wouldn't get prize money if he wins? Original competitor is out, why would he (Marie) still get the money?
Come on authors, at least try...

It's like the Grand Magic Games in FT. EVERYFUCKINGONE illegally targetted FT, and then author pulls a "well, since this team cheated so much, they're disqualified. But that gives an odd number of teams, and that's bad, so... We'll let you fuse your 2 FT teams, that legally qualified separately, effectively halving your chances of winning AND we'll even let the newly fused team keep the score of the lowest original team". .......excuse you?
