And used and unused goods all depends on a context and how you present yourself. If a woman presents herself as virgin and you find out that she had a bunch of guys, you may feel betrayed. That is one reason why "used goods" may be disliked.
Second reason is how used goods they are. If woman is a whore then she is used and is goods in literal sense (as an used object). Have no respect for those.

If it is something outside those two reasons, then clearly it is just guys insecurities talking.

I already like Leon as a protagonist just from reading the LN and running my defective imagination and now that I got to see Leon in the manga, the more I like him already especially with the face he pulled when he showed Marie his money. He looks like 8man with Kazuma's personality (with the perversion toned down) and with the upcoming drama CD, he will be voiced by Subaru. Good stuff.

I really love this series but I just heard that fan translations had stopped when it was revealed that the LN will be receiving an English localization and that's sad. Hopefully someone will continue their work especially that Volume 6 will be released this coming July 30th.

@avocat No one implied the girl is a used good here, nor the girl herself implied that. The setup here is just that the girl went on a wild sex spree to heal her broken heart in a very matriarchal society.

Think about her regret like an upright guy, who had someone he loved NTR'd from him, and chose to dealt with it by frequenting brothels every single night for the past half year. He didn't look back at it as someone who is "dirtied" but more as, "Geez... why the fuck did I do all that and threw my moral values away..."

Because she indulged in the most base orgies just to spite Jilk, its never really explained just how far she went, aside from the comment "she got 3 sex slaves and went wild everynight". And from some of the more fucked up parts of this story, this could have a whole range of meanings. She could even be pregnant now, since its not uncommon for noble ladies to give birth to other mens children aside from their husband.

As what happens when we found out that Leons Step siblings arent related by blood to him at all.

By the end of the major arc, the entire matriacharl line gets exposed as a scheme by the royals to keep the power of the aristocracy in check, but Leon and the War pretty much up ends the entire situation, and every girl desperatly tries to find a husband because so many died and now even low knights are considered prized catches for high ranking noble ladies.

@alannondarklord To be honest this manga is not really that good in building their misandrist world. Everything is still somewhat parallel to medieval earth (albeit sci-fi), labors and breadwinning are still the burden of men, it's still women who carry the burden and pain of childbirth. Men are still physically stronger, and I assume still hold the responsibility of warfare..... It doesn't make sense that in such a world, for no apparent reason other than consensus within the society, everyone just agree that men are scum, women are superior and sexually liberated.

It also did little to add to the plot after the beginning parts, and maybe as additional barrier for the MC going forward.... It's still a pretty interesting story to read, but I have to suspend a lot of my disbelief whenever the misandrist side of the world is brought up.

. I normally don't like isekai stories (I'm more of a vanilla SoL kind of guy) but this series is an exception.

I just hope that someone out there will continue translating this series or else I'd die waiting for the English release of the sixth volume.

@lolipedofin Yeah, it has been a problem from the beginning that there seems to be nothing concrete holding up the women's superiority in the society. It's purely cultural, also structural to a certain degree but by far not thoroughly. Angie's old man clearly had real political power and responsibilities. Between Angie and the prince, it looked all the time like the prince was the more important one. The queen seemed secondary to the king. I'm not sure if that's haphazard inconsistency in writing or what, but it does erode the general atmosphere of the female privilege. It's possible in the distant past some terrible war killed most of the men, leaving the women to handle all administration, creating the roots of this supposed situation, but it would clearly be a long time ago and there's nothing explaining why the effect would still linger so strongly.

All in all, the real reason must be the otome game background. Games often have a forced setting for no other reason but to make the game plot work. Some games would go the extra mile to explain why and how, but I wouldn't expect a dating sim to bother with it.
