this manga does such a good job of making me forget how grim it is, only to sucker punch me in the last page, I am terrified for how this is gonna end.

i have no idea how this manga intends to do its eventual ending, but i don't think it's going to be a happy one :worry:
They both looped so many times that they master the laws of time and magic, becoming grand wizards. I'm sure we are going to get a Loki ending, obviously.

Otherwise... we never know if the other person is actually stuck in the loop still or if it... the one person is just continuing on with the life the other would have lead if they weren't in the loop...

I guess that answers if they can kill themselves
lol hopefully they don't get addicted to the thrill but i imagine it's pretty painful. imagine if they also accidentally die hanging around somewhere and not realizing there's poisonous gas (tho i wonder if they could use this 'power' to stop other suicide/some cult shit and such although i guess doing it multiple times would be too exhausting, tho it worked in groundhog day i guess)

Tho maybe they loop when they do it on purpose and are screwed if it's truck-kun

This reinforces my theory of the world only resetting whenever she kills herself
IDK if they ever had a sleepover chapter but that would imply that she still does it when she gets home after hanging out with him as opposed to just him getting caught for 'stopping' her the 'first' time he saw her and interfered

I am once again reminded of that gag in houkago play where main girl was too tired to go home and was ready to jump on the train tracks to respawn at home
playing minecraft with keep inventory on type shit

It's a good reminder of how long Mashiro has been in the loop and what that has done to her. I don't think she would mind anymore if dying together would leave them dead and break the loop.

I wonder if they even could return to normal life if the loop would break one day?

Once again the comments remind me that a surprisingly large amount of people here clearly haven't engaged with time loop media before. Like, come on, this was coming sooner or later, and if the girl is still around after an eternity by herself, we can assume that dying most likely won't break the loop. If you think about being in a time loop for one second, you'll see how quickly it will spiral into absurdism - nothing matters, there are no consequences, so you'll start trying all sorts of new experiences out of boredom. And if your friend dies in a coop game with no respawns without a restart, then surely you'll restart, right? This is no different.
My condolensces to youkari though, that is different from just going "wow this is suddenly so dark".

And then they don't wake up tomorrow
That'd actually be a good ending for them. The girl has been trying to find a way out for hundreds of years at this point (not sure how long it's been for the boy though).
