Many relationships could said to be one of forced proximity. If two people just have their desks together, that's forced proximity, but no one would question that. If you work together in a small department of two, that is even more so. And at their age, most interpersonal relationships start based on something incredibly surface level that is barely if at all connected to their deeper character and interests. Before dating apps, both Adults and teenagers alike basically almost all found their significant others through some kind of forced proximity situation.

Is one heck of an understatement, when for them death has become a convenient shortcut to skip to the next loop.

So they're finally taking advantage of the looping like a cheat. Their memories and skills learned carry over to the next loop, it's just the physical state of their bodies in stasis. I assume they spent a few loops actually practicing before forming this band.

I'd like to think that her getting pissed off is because he and whatever he's brought to her life is actually special to her, in contrast to how he states that he's nothing special and tries to put even more distance between them, with that "it could've been anybody else and you'd still get along well" speech of his. It makes her especially mad because it ignores the chemistry they've had that made it all work for so long.

He takes their dynamic for granted, but nobody is actually forcing them to stay together: they could just as easily go and live the loops separately without ever talking to each other, but we know they chose to stay together every single loop, doing things as a pair.

Yeah, I think it's her who's falling in love first at this rate.

I caught that too. I think she means "this whole time-loop thing that's going on" rather than "this iteration of this time-loop nonsense". My recollection is she had always been alone at the start of the comic, but I guess she could have just been alone again.

From what they both alluded to, FMC was stuck in the loop alone long before him, to the point she was just spending each day committing suicide in various ways. MMC seemed to have found her very early on in his loop when she was trying to KHS in some corner of the school, and that prompted her to realize he's also in a loop because there shouldn't be any 'NPC' wandering around that area at that time.

Makes me wonder, will there be more people awaken into the loop later on? After giving it some thought, I still feel kinda unlikely, but it's not totally impossible.

There’s no point in talking about what would’ve happened if they were in the loop with another people than each other, they’re in together. Mutual dependence or not, their feelings are real, and she started to really like him in the lasts chapters, and he genuinely care about her too. Saying that everything they feel is just because they’re stuck together and that other people could’ve done the job is plain rude and insensitive, hence the slap.

I think we need more understanding of firstly what pushed them into the loop and as well what their objectives are now. I'm assuming the core root of why they're there hasn't been addressed in the slightest, or maybe it was discussed but they weren't close enough or perhaps they were too distant.

They might've actually forgotten what it is that pushed them into the loop but I think it's more a consequence of them trying to escape whatever the circumstances why. I would like them to actually get the courage to begin to face things and then genuinely try to end the loop. I also want MC to at least approach his feelings, regardless of what allowed it to happen, a guy and a girl in close quarters in nigh on any situation is going to build some kind of emotions towards one another. If that's what resulted in you being born does that make your life, whatever impact it may have diminished?

She might've got attached to anyone she got stuck in the loop with sure but she's stuck in it with you and is likely attached to traits that define you as yourself. Pretending she doesn't have the means to make a decision like that is idiotic. We've got time though.

I guess but as we get older those forced proximity things fade away. And again just because your forced to be physically close doesn't necessitate having to speak. Case and point they were in the same class the whole time but only ever spoke when in the loop.

As for significant others, I guess but it's not really forced when it's something you choose I'm speaking more on the situation itself and less so the actual distance between them.

I think that is the main point here, they can't do that, because there is nobody else, in a previous chapter aoi mentions how people have stopped feeling like humans, and are just "things".
Aoi lived alone in the loop for who knows how long, and that REALLY fucked up her mind, so I doubt they could live their lives away from each other for long, not if they want to remain sane.
