not to mention it's also a club rather than an official/formal band but i'm sure there are some good all girl bands out there too (wouldn't be surprised if the 'idol culture' thing was forced on them to where they couldn't have partners/date their band members tho but that's a whole nother series)At first I was surprised that there were two female instrumentalists in their group, but then I remembered that this is Japan.
Yeah. I still remember an interview with either Scandal or Band Maid, where they said that they do not consider the very fact of their existence to be a female emancipation in rock music, since in Japan a girl playing in a rock band is considered a completely normal thing and is praised .not to mention it's also a club rather than an official/formal band but i'm sure there are some good all girl bands out there too (wouldn't be surprised if the 'idol culture' thing was forced on them to where they couldn't have partners/date their band members tho but that's a whole nother series)
I can see where they're coming from.Yeah. So they're finally taking advantage of the looping like a cheat. Their memories and skills learned carry over to the next loop, it's just the physical state of their bodies in stasis. I assume they spent a few loops actually practicing before forming this band.
I think they'll just mostly forget what won't "fit" in much the same way that people often forget lots of things from childhood, leaving only core memories and very vague recollections behind. Memories that are too mundane and unremarkable like eating and going to the bathroom, days where nothing exciting happened or loops where they just studied/practiced will be the ones that go first.i wonder if it'd have a mental strain on them to contain all their memories if they ever 'escape' it
well she does have plenty of time to learn everything about the industry and then just redoing it when she finally escapes the loop unless this series has some bittersweet ending like "we aren't escaping but we still have each other" (although i guess in the long run unless some disaster happens immediately after ppl probably aren't thinking about money/work after they finally go through something this rough, versus like maybe memorizing some lotto numbers or so but i guess minors can't buy those tickets unless they can convince their relatives or so)I think they'll just mostly forget what won't "fit" in much the same way that people often forget lots of things from childhood, leaving only core memories and very vague recollections behind. Mashiro is mentioned early on to be a teenage gravure model (basically a glamour model with a focus on sexy swimsuit shoots, which is why she's got so many swimsuits), but I'm not sure what you mean by setting up a better contract. Do you mean negotiating with her manager/agency? Not sure that's doable, since IIRC the loops are only one day long and when they sleep, they move on to a new loop. So that means her contract will just go back to what it was before...
Oh, you mean renegotiating her contract once she escapes the loop, since she has gained lots of new skills by then.well she does have plenty of time to learn everything about the industry and then just redoing it when she finally escapes the loop
huh, I have never thought about it this way, make a lot of sense tbh. There’s no point in talking about what would’ve happened if they were in the loop with another people than each other, they’re in together. Mutual dependence or not, their feelings are real, and she started to really like him in the lasts chapters, and he genuinely care about her too. Saying that everything they feel is just because they’re stuck together and that other people could’ve done the job is plain rude and insensitive, hence the slap.
(Why do ppl keep saying 'slap' when she clearly gut punched him lol)huh, I have never thought about it this way, make a lot of sense tbh.
I think he said that because he suddenly realized where he is right now is so strang but he had never really thought about it, as he questions it, he began to pin-point the "turning point" and wander in the world of possibilities. And because they are such a close friend, he feels so comfortable around her that he can tell her everything, as he has always been doing .So he just speaks it out loud as this train of thought going on and on. So I am quite confused when she slaps him as he doing things that are quite normal, guess it all makes sense now
I was thinking Gimai Seikatsu, but that works too."codependent"
Oh no, he's going Oregairu on us
Yeah i imagine 'normal' gravure models wouldn't be able to keep doing so after a certain age (tho i'm sure some ppl would want 50 year old pinup models of someone famous enough) and 'move on' to something where she's acting/performing too rather than just being a model, unless models get paid well enough in Japan to where she could 'retire' earlier and do a more 'normal' job like an office lady. (or ending up just being a streamer or so and choosing her own schedule and enjoying talking to real ppl in a chat if not some thing where she'd be able to be around a lot of ppl)Oh, you mean renegotiating her contract once she escapes the loop, since she has gained lots of new skills by then.
Sadly, I don't think having more skills or experience would help her "cheat" her way up the gravure industry, since gravure model work is mostly physical appearance-based, and they're just provocatively posing in swimsuits to make and sell suggestive (but not pornographic) photobooks and DVDs. They don't sing and dance like normal idols who could benefit from more practice through "time loop cheating" like they do here.
The best she could do for her current part-time job in gravure is probably to gain foreknowledge of which photobooks would sell better, but that doesn't seem enough of a gamechanger. Yeah, after the loop she's much better off transitioning to something else in showbiz, like a normal idol career or maybe even a regular acting career where multiple skills can come in handy.
