When they wake up tomorrow, they're going to find out they're wanted.

Then a few weeks later, she's going to find out she's late.

I'm hoping and praying that, after that declaration, one of them disappears.

EDIT: Oh shit, I made a typo and forgot a word. I meant to say "one of them don't disappear". Basically the opposite of what I typed earlier, haha. I deserve the strike.

I've always hated that "question". A tree that falls in the forest does make a sound, because there will be something there nearby capable of perceiving it, even if not a human. It's a forest, there will be birds, small mammals, insects - something will hear the tree fall. A better question would be something akin to "if a satellite exploded in the depths of space, would it make a sound?" to which the answer is of course no, as the vibrations would dissipate long before they could be picked up by anything with auditory receptors.

But cute moment nonetheless I guess.
Not sure if you're joking or not, but the question is philosophical. I think that kind of escapes you if you think it's a different situation if it's in space.
It's kind of an important question, because we're limited to our senses that we can't always know are true or not. For a person that's psychotic, it's impossible to know what's real or not.
And of course you can go full matrix and say that you can't know what's real or not even if you can observe it.

Teenagers so cooked by puberty they become numb to pain and murder tons of people before figuring out how to have sex with each other :kek:
He's going to be happy waking up the next morning after he stole the car from his mom if it ends this day. Totally the worst day to break the curse.
Well at least it wasn't the day they drove over a guy.

I love an MC who doesn’t hesitate when the moment arises. Hopefully this doesn’t mark the coming end, even moreso I hope the ending is happy

The question is "if no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" Including non-communicative species as if that's some kind of loophole shows that you don't understand the question.

Sound is not merely vibrations in a medium; it's the transduction of acoustic energy into electrical signals that then simulate the world in an observer's brain. The premise is that, if there is no Observer (bugs and birds included), then the subject (sound) doesn't functionally exist.

The point of this story is that he promises to observe her forever to prove (read: justify) her existence in an otherwise pointless reality.

Coming up with a "better question," to then give an obviously wrong answer, is just funny and borders on trolling. There are no vibrations in the vacuum of space. Sound isn't possible even with an observer.
