It didn't hit me until now, but every loop day can technically become a date for these two. If they learned more about each other and enjoyed it, I can even count this as a date.
There's a great opportunity to build a romance somewhere in this story, more than just the usual fooling around at school abusing the time loop. They can go to an amusement park, the beach, an onsen, an aquarium... as long as it's reachable by a day's travel the sky's the limit.
The irony is that when they're trapped by time is when they're also truly free to do what they want.
