Yay, new chapter! Thanks! I can never have too much of this
I binge watched the season last week, it was super sweet too.
I haven't touched LN yet, and I'm curious: which volume the anime ended on?

Adorable. Though it seems like it will be a long time until it catches up to the anime and then the novel, personally can't wait for volume 5 to be adapted.
I like the way other perspectives are being seen here, what with everything in the anime and LNs (other than 5.5) getting filtered throughAmane's often delusional POV.

As mentioned earlier, it ends on four, but there's a metric crapton of stuff that got left out. Hopeful for a second season that fills in the gaps a la the upcoming HoriMiya and Quintuplets seasons.

Thanks for the new chapter. However I have a question. Did you upscale this chapter's pages with AI?
I mean, it's not like earlier chapters had amazing quality images, but this one's are just awful. :shamihuh:
We did, the Japanese raws are honestly just unworkable without an upscale. We will update the chapter once the higher quality panels release (which will be a few days after the next chapter releases in Japanese)

@VINT64: There are some unreadable fanlations floating around, but the official digital versions aren't terribly pricy and available on all the usual places. And they make sense.

Caught up to this one now. I'd ponder reading the WN or LN, but I'm currently reading another one, which will last for quite a while. Could add it to the list. Anime is not an option either at this point.

Cute, comfy, slow romance. Ish. So far it's not much of romance, but I like their frank interactions. It's refreshing relative to what you see elsewhere. I get the impression it's less about either or both being dense, and more that they're just not interested in relationships. Or rather, he's not interested in a relationship (more interested in her than a relationship, if that makes sense), and she seems to be taking care of him as a coping mechanism for something. At least at the beginning.

So that's how they got found out. Was about 70% confident that it would happen this event.

What episode is this in the anime?
This specific chapter marks the end of Episode 3 in the anime, for reference. Literally the scene at the very end in this chapter is at the very end of the episode. Just about everything is covered up to this point in terms of Chapters with the first three episodes, but with lighter dialog for each scene or exchange and a fair bit lighter on Amane's internal monologues in the anime, and the conversation with Itsuki about his father and Chitose from the start of Ch.4 was moved to a later point in the anime, if I recall- if it was retained in sequence, it would have been slipped into the very first episode, since there's an exchange from that chapter piece where Mahiru delivers a meal and the two talk about the food situation which ended up getting included at the very end of the first episode, but the surrounding Itsuki conversation/moment didn't stay at that point. It's not like it's as vital a conversation to keep in sequence, like the Mahiru one, to be fair.

Based on the progress, I feel like we'll get that promised second season of the anime before the manga catches up with even the first season of the anime.

I'll be honest, so far in my reading, the manga up to this chapter seems to have covered similar events to the anime up to episode 3, and I know the one event that didn't get covered up to this point is a lower-priority dialog that gets mentioned later, anyway, if I recall my first watching correctly, and the high-priority one that was squeezed into that lower-priority one from an earlier chapter still got some dialog featured in the very end of the first episode, anyway.

I do appreciate the more verbose conversations and the added Amane internal monologues seen here in the manga (plus more amusing expressions), but I honestly have been struggling to see what the manga here has, outside of those details, that the anime didn't. If anything, I would suspect they both pale in comparison to what's in the LN.

Edit: To clarify, I'm rewatching the anime while reading the manga, and noting the fact that essentially the same vital conversation moments and events are taking place in both adaptations, just the anime has less details around said conversations and events... (but it still has more than enough there to still understand what's going on, you just don't have quite as much context to hammer points home like in the manga) Though sometimes there's arguably more detail in some respects, like the fact the sequence with the exams being taken opens with a teacher at the front of the class in the anime when, otherwise, it just opened on Amane at his desk here in the manga.

And speaking of HoriMiya's approach... I kinda disliked that, though I still watched it. One of my sisters that's into anime refused to watch it because it wasn't a continuation, and I don't blame her. It's not like the main couple didn't get together fairly early on in the story, so I really didn't see the harm in adapting the manga (to be fair, it was based on the second version of the manga drawn by Daisuke Hagiwara and not the original webcomic and its spinoff) more faithfully chapter-to-chapter as far as it can go and then use an additional season to tell the rest of their school life as best as possible.
