Top peak happiness. I thought after anime it won't be as enjoyable.
I have never been so wrong in all my life
Thank you so much for the translation. Gonna go check the spin-off
opening door handle with elbow gang, revolt!
The anime skipped past a ton of development, used a significant character to move exactly two scenes along and completely ignored others. This is so much better for telling more of the story.
I still think you're downplaying how much the anime actually covered a bit too much, but I also still agree the manga's done a better job with the content in question. It can put in far more dialog and narration into the same space of time.
But still, I've been following along with a rewatch while reading, and I definitely have seen virtually the same moments in both the anime and the manga, like I've said before... they're just a fair bit lighter on the dialog for the same exact conversations and moments in the anime as with the manga, and the manga simply has better character expressions and visuals for those moments. A few times where moments are shifted around a bit (with only one scene all but omitted outside of a line of exposition and a freeze-frame image of Mahiru in the kitchen, for Ch.13.1's acknowledgement), but otherwise, it has been pretty much the same moments and scenes.
It's just the moments and scenes are better fleshed out in the manga.
However, I've also seen moments that feel like they have more context in the anime than the manga, but it's few and far between.
