I wonder if this adaptation will have any extra foreshadowing in it when compared to the novel? In Volume 58, it was revealed that this was the moment she unconsciously created Demon Mahiru II, after all. (Technically Demon Mahiru Prime, but they've been calling her "the second" since volume 98, even if she did come before Demon Mahiru I.) It was originally super obvious that it was a retcon, though, so I'm kind of curious if they'll to anything to smooth that out a bit more.
