Man... The localization on this hurts her character so bad.
Hopefully people still like her here, but she doesn't come nearly as polite here as she does in the raws.
The removal of suffixes also doesn't help, he calls her "Tenshi-sama" as if she's a higher being or at least of a higher class, it's not only a comment on her appearance.
Which is why she asks him to stop, she doesn't tell him, she doesn't order people, she's not that rude with her words.

Yeah… kinda sad Crab bar didn’t do the rest of vol.1 and only picked back up in vol.2. I like some of Scylla’s interpretations, but Crab bar felt like it respected Japanese cultural quirks a bit more, such as the honorifics. And I feel like that’s important to retain in a story set in Japan, at the very least. I can be more willing to give it a pass when the setting is outside of Japan, like an isekai, where most of the characters shouldn’t be expected to use Japanese cultural cues just because the writers were Japanese, but with a story like this, set in Japan, it should use Japanese cultural and social aspects as written, where possible.

I will note there does appear to be a level of bluntness to Mahiru, based on Amane’s reactions (throughout the first two volumes, at least), but she’s still a refined lady. She tells it like it is, but keeps it polite, even if the truth is uncomfortable. I think the other scanlator team tries to emphasize that a bit more, and glad they’re the ones continuing this series even now.

To be honest, I feel like the ‘Tenshi-sama’ thing is less egregious because ‘Angel’ is already implying a higher being/status as it is in English- don’t need the honorific on top. Though I suppose it depends on how religious you are. Technically, I’m not religious, but I have religious education and upbringing, so I expect ‘Angel’ to have a heavenly connotation without needing to add any further address.

But in every other instance, yeah, Scylla shouldn’t have dropped the honorifics.
