One of the few stories where a confession at this point is a formality. I adore stories that allow the two parties to just feel their feelings and indirectly communicate those feelings to one another. Kuderella also does a decent job of this too. Yeah there are still tropes here and there; but it doesn’t ragebait or make me want to slam my head into a wall.
well kuderella is one of the series clearly inspired by this one, and they have done a decent job at that.
also friggin just confess already, the moment she shown how his pain was still valid was precious af!! :qq: :qq:

He’s also got a pain in his pants that he’d like her to cradle in her bosom…

uuuuuuuuuuugh.... that position is so uncomfortable even when both have similar height.... yet she's like a head and a half shorter than him! it huuuuuurts!! my spine, ma neck, ma lower back!!!!... wait that's technically part of the spine:nyoron:
Anyway!!! she should sit on his lap to make it less painful. the difference she talked about at the end can be lower too, cuz it'd be a treat for her too~~:smug:
Counterpoint: face in booba.

Mahiru gained major wifey points here. She's going to stay by his side no matter what, which is what he needs to have a foundation to mature from and to have someone he can trust with confidence.

Yes it's adorable and cute and we're all happy for them, but can we talk about what she said?

"They are not things you should compare. I don't even want to try. Your grief is your own."

That shit gets missed by so many people. Grief and pain aren't competitions, they're not measuring sticks. If someone's suffering, they don't need a "it could be worse"/"I've got it worse", they need a hug and a "I'm here for you" just like Mahiru just did.

Some people really do see someone in pain, hit 'em with their measuring stick, then wonder why no one talks to them or really confides in them.
