So does the woman who convinced her husband to marry her friend secretly like her friend or something? I'm getting strong GL vibes. If so, I feel bad for the husband. And I'm usually the type that dismisses that kind of thinking because it's usually not true. This could not be true either and they are just best friends, but still. Something seems off.

They're probably just close friends but there's definitely strong yuri undertones to the whole story and it's not like the author's shy about it too. Shame that everything has to be turned into a hidden romance like this

Shirin, Anis and the husband give me more of a polyamorous relationship type vibe.
Anis is visibly enamored with Shirin, and we know she loves her husband. She said herself if it was anyone besides Shirin, she would not want to share him. That says a lot.
With Shirin and the husband, the relationship isn't as clear, but we can tell they're fond of each other.

That's just the vibe I get.

Poly wouldn't fit in at all with the cultural dynamics of Persia or Islam but the author's not too shy about shoehorning yuri into the story regardless. There was even the whole thing with the nude ladies in the bathhouse which is just ahistorical and a really orientalist interpretation of the place and the time
