That was quite an accurate portrayal of how naan are baked in a tandoor. The designs as well - you can find such flowery designs in uzbekistan (and the others). Not the Indian type of naan though. The manga-ka has done her research!

What do you mean, "Get ye some yeast"??? It is yeasted! It’s just flat because it’s rolled flat before baking and the decorative impressions prevent it from fully rising (hence why the undecorated edges are raised compared to the flatter, decorated center)

I’ve come across videos of Uzbek bread making on youtube and the art is spot on. The bread is even prettier in real life. Definitely search it up, it’s lovely to watch.
