this chapter felt so heartbreaking but not so at the same time. It went like *bang* and *phweeeeeeeew* and then he was back in this state. Sad times. I hope my. Smith will get her back. I felt like there was an actual genuine love going on between those two, even though it started out of pity. Maybe that's the character that the mean author wants him to present.

As sad as this is ... it still happens regularly in countries like iraq and iran ..thankfully it seems to have died down significantly since 2016 in neighboring countries like ksa Oman jordan turkey and other neighboring countries.
This was one of the most realistic chapters so far from this manga ..it actually hit home hard

Haha, I knew it! It's all happening in Uzbekistan :)

Never really wanted to read this manga since I mainly read manga as a form of escapism and after reading first chapter I knew it was to real for my liking and here we are...

All of the stuff that has happened up until now still happens to this day in some areas and it is sad.

Especially, since I can understand how each character feels when something bad happens to them...

So he was going home, but then he was getting married, but he wasn't, and then he was again, and now he wasn't again.

Poor Mr Smith.
That fucking beardy baldy can't possibly die fast enough.

I hear you there.
I actually started reading because the woman on the latest cover appeared to be hella curvy... because I'm shallow as fuck. Turns out she isn't even in the plot yet though. Typical weirdness of using the last cover to represent the manga. Seen quite a few manga around with cover images of characters who only show up for one or two chapters near the end. So misleading.
But yeah... Slice of Life manga are bad for escapism, regardless of the historical or geographical setting. Almost every Slice of Life manga out there is just a parade of all the good things you'll never have in your life... amirite?

Idk, the plot feels stupid and all over the place. They together, they're not, they together again, they all eat, they're not together again. They should've added NTR as the ending note. Old guy doing kinky stuff with his daughter while grandma in the corner cries and Mr. Smith listens through the window. That's what it felt reading this chapter.
Felt a bit too forced. My least favorite chapter so far. I'm still not sure about their relationship. Feels like Mr. Smith is going with the wave and don't care bout that woman too much.
Leaves her easily, joins her easily again, leaves her again like "Oh well, shit happens, time to move on".

A bit of advice: MangaDex always uses the latest volume cover as the manga cover.

Ah, seems this cover with Shirin on it caught the attention of quite some new readers. You're not the first I see.

Ooh I knew it was trouble when I saw the chapter's subtitle. And man. :( I'm not quite sure why the new father, as it were, has such a dislike of Smith, but :(

I did like the dialog where the inn group is having to explain something to them that's the natural state of things to an outsider, like fish having to explain what wet is, to use a poor analogy.

I always love this chapter so much. That good bitter feeling Mori-sensei is so good at making in a romance.... poor Mr. Smith. The main couple is too happy go lucky, so you kind of take the hit....

And if you want to know why her MIL took the marriage: Because so far as she knew, it was a perfect solution. Her DIL would get married to someone, and not suffer alone. And she, herself, would be safely in a household instead of left with probably too much work to safely manage on her own. Then her DIL wouldnt even have to feel guilty by leaving her, which was her protest to getting married before.

She didn't know. She found out too late. She made a mistake.
