Her husband is so sweet to say all of that with so little hesitation, I've seen too many ****bags throughout this series in the Karmir (Karluk X Amir) and Smithas (Smith X Talas) Arcs that It's nice to see a couple that's just okay, but that could change real soon.

Usually, but in this context I’m assuming it means two women who share a close bond. (Muslim men (assuming they are muslim) aren’t allowed to marry his wife’s sisters at the same time he’s married to his wife, so it’s highly unlikely for it to be the literal meaning of it)
