Yeah that occured to me as well. It'd be interesting if her grandmother was in Botan, though. Things happen, y'know? Maybe the family used to be well-to-do 50 years ago, but since then became more average. Or maybe granny married out of money, as it were, rather than in to it. Skipped out on a political marriage sort of deal, instantaneous "commoner" title achieved alongside the person she chose for herself. That's probably more than enough speculation though, might as well read on for now.
