Vincent van Gogh would like to ask this teacher if he's a joke to him
The point the teacher was trying to say is that emotions the painting conveys matter more in painting and art than the picture itself.
I'ts really getting old how all nobles are literally the same arrogant insufferable pricks all the time
It's not even that realistic, if noble society was like this in the past revolts would have happened yearly, most societies with nobility required the nobles to act more like a guide to the commoners, not like they were another species entirely, , the disdain you see for "noveau riche" characters in alot of stories is actually more realistic to this, hence why the merchant class had certain restrictions placed on them in most feudalistic systems, to prevent stuff like this.

I don't know what you assumed my comment was about, but i mentioned van Gogh because he lived his life as an artist in poverty, only surviving because his brother bought his paintings and it was only after his death that his art was recognized and it's now worth millions. My comment was about the teacher basically saying "good art can only come from rich people".

Ok i did misunderstand you.

Truth be told, the same is true with modern art, modern art is mostly a form of money laundering, while the truly talented artists live in poverty living from gig to gig or having to work other jobs and squander their talent, all because art "specialists" have completely lost the point of the well, art.

i mean. tvis is a world where lineage does grant power (nobles have more magic than commoners) and that the dark ciry is exactly where some of the revolt appears in. and that most commoners prob don't interact with nobles in tgis world.

so it's not out of question that most commoners wont revolt. esp when a secret society is covering up some stuff in the back
