The more you see in this past of theirs, the harder it is to pick a side. They weren't kidding he needed to die.

I don't understand why I would ever side with Tanzawa on this matter. I was hesitant at the beginning because of how good of a guy Yoshiki is, but now it's pretty much confirmed. No matter how good of a guy Jou appeared to be to Tanzawa and friends, he was a terrible person that did unforgivable things; which, in my opinion, makes Tanzawa complicit in those actions.

But maybe that's the point. We were supposed to see Tanzawa earlier in the series as he saw Jou. I don't know, just spitballing.

@mophead4eyes That brings up some ideas - do you think Tanzawa is gonna go the Jou route? And if so, will there be a repeat of history where someone from within has to be the ones to end it all? And in this case, MC could be the one to intervene and just convince Tanzawa to turn himself in, or something idk

Out is good, man

@Ocelot101 Yeah, I think it's even outright stated by Tanzawa and someone from an outside gang some chapters ago, that everyone agreed that he needed to be put down but killing your own leader is still something unforgivable. Or something along those lines.

@mophead4eyes It's Japanese gang politics. Jou is basically a christ figure, he got stuck between a rock and a hard place and had to choose to dirty himself to save his friends from having to betray their boss. I think Tanzawa might be a bit of the same. ie As a leader, he can't just let the death of a previous head slide, and so he (because he knew that Yoshiki's actions were justified) chose the least violent option in hopes that Jou would just fade into obscurity. Now this comes back to bite him in the ass. I think that even if Kai is revealed to be a sneaky shithead who manipulates all the big events, it's too late (especially with Meguro). Unless... Taguchi is secretly working for Tanzawa and killed someone who looked similar to Meguro (while also mutilating him beyond recognition and leaving Meguro's ID with him). Think about it, the enemy gang doesn't have any members that haven't been knocked out to confirm AND they could have hidden the body so that the cops couldn't use dental records. This would also explain Tanzawa's smile at the news of Meguro's death.

Wow i thought QP was dark and brutal and at least they deal directly with actual Yakuza. These guys were still at their delinquent phase and they already crossed so many fucking lines not even people from QP would cross. DAMN

Not a stake. Those are his intestines falling out. That's why there's a "SPLAT" sound effect on the page before Yoshiki turns around.

I thought he was talking to Rukia's intestines rather than his grave. Like, bro, just let it go.

If Yoshiki wanted to do something about his leader behaviour he shouldn't have involved other gangs. It was a traitorous move.

He should have challenged him formally like Meguro did to Tanzawa.

The same applies to Tanzawa. He should have also fought it out with Yoshiki.

My point is that Jousuke is a frigging psycho criminal but the same applies to everyone albeit in a different level.

These guys are gangsters. Not delinquents. That's a gangster manga. Someone should replace the delinquent tag.

Danm, that's fucked up. That's like the kind of stuff that the Mexican drug lords do. Not high school kids...

With all due respects, im gonna disagree with you:
- It was well established that Jousuke is an unstable batshit crazy psycho who will stop at nothing to make his foes' lives a literal hell ( or like in this case, end it). For him everyone is either friends or foes. Challenging him equals becoming his foes. Once you're his foes, all kinds of reasoning, compassion and mercy go straight out the windows. I'm sure Yoshiki along with all other guys have thought of every other possible solution, including a formal challenge, before they came down to his murder

- I'm not quite sure about either mark them as delinquents or gangsters though. I mean They're still within the age of 15-18. A little too young to be full-blown gangters

Ok so Jou is a bad guy, and it's justified to kill him. I agree (thou I would have tell the police to handle him instead of trying to kill him).

But killing Meguro with the excuse of him protected Jou (well Jou was his leader at the time, even thou he was a bad one),. That cannot be justified unless there is more to the story, such as Meguro agreed/helped with torturing Rukia.
