Musings of the day: little Ako reminds me so much of Nezha (idk if anyone else sees it). He's so cute.

Really cute couple of chapters. Tadaomi is such a cool character and I really love seeing Michizane through the eyes of other characters. See you next week for the second part!

The series is Nobunaga Concerto, a series where a japanese high schooler gets sent to the past, where he takes the place of Oda Nobunaga and begins his conquest of Japan with what little historical knowledge he has.

There is no official english release. Raws are up to volume 22, it's been translated on here up to volume 14 and the previous translator has said that they're willing to provide raws for volume 15.

It is very different from Outen no Mon, but falls under that same historical fiction umbrella.

Thanks for even checking it out, I understand that translating a series takes a lot of effort.

Oooh, Nobunaga Concerto. It's a little embarassing actually, but I've been procrastinating on reading it for so long.

I can't really give you an answer right now. I would need to be up to date with the fantranslation first.

But I find it really weird that it has never been licensed before. It has an anime adaptation, a live-action adaptation and the manga itself is mildly popular (to say the least). I swear publishers do nothing but look down on historical manga 😤

Then this is a great opportunity!

I first discovered the series through the anime on crunchyroll, so at least the very beginning of the series is officially available in the west. The live-action series, as far as I'm aware, is japan exclusive (as most j-dramas end up being) and doesn't end up covering much more ground than the anime.
Funnily enough, the live-action movie got a (very limited) international release.

I feel like it'd get decent international reception if it were released in the west, there are enough whales to support the niche. That being said, starting now would kind of be an investment.
