I'm confused, where does the author think the maids come from? Most, if not all the maids in high-ranking households come from lower-ranking ones. The daughter of a baronet receiving the job of a maid isn't bad, since that allows them to create a connection with some high-ranking noble by employing her there. Sure, it would be bad if a firstborn son had a job like that of a maid, but a daughter? That's perfectly fine.
That would be a wise thinking, but we both know not all parents are wise. Some would label anything that goes against their expectations as a failure.

The reincarnation gimmick was so unnecessary. That character didn't even stick around and existed solely to drop the memory of being unwanted onto the little girl but that could've happened even without that character existing.

How can they say alchemists only sell low-level potions? If the market has nothing else, then they aren't low level. Saying something is low level is clearly relative, so there needs to exist something better to compare them to. Surely those legendary elixirs aren't used for comparison? That's like saying in RL all fighter jets are trash because in scifi movies there are much better flying vehicles that can ascend and operate all the way up in space, have death beams, and energy shields.

so if this was real life then a baronet family would be THRILLED to get a maid class, because it would make her a prime candidate to become a lady in waiting for royalty, which would give her a very good chance of rubbing elbows with high class nobility, maybe even snagging a husband. A Lady in Waiting is always lesser nobility for royalty since royalty generally does not interact with commoners.

Sure, such a daughter would have good chances of becoming a maid for an important family, but that might be where it stops. After all, a maid class person's children carry a bigger chance of becoming maids themselves. That's why noble families and such would likely rather have their son marry a woman belonging to a class carrying more weight, such as the mage. If both parents are mages, the children are more likely to be as well. An alchemist is still an occupation related to magic, so the MC didn't really fall that far from the tree. Similarly royalty or higher nobles, like dukes, might not believe a maid is worthy of being the lady-in-waiting. She would be the best at it, maybe, but if the lady-in-waiting is a mage or a swordswoman, it could be viewed as more glorious.
