I wish the world was run by morons. They'd have a leg up. No, more realistically it's run by people who aren't that far off from the grave and really just want to live in comfort and luxury as long as possible. As in people who intentionally screw the rest of us over for the short term gain. Which actually kinda makes sense of the idiocy here. Like if the world had been under threat to be destroyed I can believe a King that only cared about themselves being able to live in comfort and luxury who virtually ignored everything going on in reality. Then they just kept doing that even when the world wasn't going to end. Now it's too late and the only difference is they actually have to deal with consequences.
The exposition kind. We're gone so far even trying to make it natural. Just have the character one sidedly talk to the other party all while explaining stuff they should already know and not really stuff that even matters for the story right now and still somehow missing a few beats that we the audience could benefit from.
