I like for the Piaro's quest, failure doesn't end up decreasing his affinity towards Grid (Most SS quests always have this as failure). Either this quest is close to impossible so he has no expectations. Or while travelling with Grid, he has created a bond with him and while he's still not the level that can match him, he trusts Grid's abilities and will always watch his back even if he fails.
